I have done a schedule in P6. I want to transfer this to another system. I tried exporting and created a .xer file. When I tried importing it in another system only the project name is visible where as the activities doesnt exist. Is there any thing wrong in what I have done? How do I copy a file done in P6 to another system through a mpen drive or something?

Make sure that during exporting, you selected PROJECT to export (not the resources only). Secondly, when you import, you might not see the activities and the reason is that, in primavera, where you are importing, FILTER might be applied. So make sure that when you import activities, any previous filter is removed. Hope that will work !
